Katie Holmes and daughter Suri treat Tom Cruise to a yacht ride in Miami to celebrate Father's Day. Despite rain rolling in, Tom looked to be enjoying his Father's Day as he cuddled with daughter Suri on the back of the boat. Cruise is currently in Miami filming the upcoming movie "Rock of Ages". Tom Cruise (Pacific Coast News) Katie Holmes has been hard at work planning a hush-hush birthday party for her husband Tom Cruise's 49th birthday, and Saturday night all the planning paid off! Forty of the actor's closest friends and family members gathered for the bash at Miami's swanky Soho Beach House.A source said the actress wanted the party to be absolutely perfect. "Katie has been very excited and actually did the RSVPs herself," the source told People.com. "She wanted to be sure everything was just right."
It sounds like everything did go according to plan. Guests sat down to a fancy Italian meal on the roof of the members-only venue, and then enjoyed hitting the dance floor and noshing on a giant chocolate cake for dessert.
All of Tom's kids, Isabella and Connor along with 5-year-old Suri, were at the party, along with several other famous faces. Unfortunately, pals Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony couldn't make it.
The actor's actual birthday was Sunday, and we imagine they'll be celebrating the 4th of July today then Tom will be back to work in his mullet wig and tight pants for more Rock of Ages filming Tuesday! He and Julianne Hough and Russell Brand have been filming the flick in Miami for a couple of weeks now.
